Il sambuco è una pianta molto conosciuta grazie alle sue innumerevoli proprietà. Contiene infatti molti composti fenolici, flavonoli ed antocianidine che fungono da antiossidanti.
Sembra che il sambuco sia considerato uno dei migliori rimedi contro il raffreddore comune e gli stati influenzali, grazie alle sue spiccate proprietà antibatteriche e alla sua capacità di rafforzare il sistema immunitario. I suoi benefici per la salute sono veramente tanti.
Abbiamo già visto in un nostro precedente articolo uno dei modi per usufruire delle proprietà di questa pianta, attraverso la preparazione di un utile sciroppo.
Oggi, vedremo invece come preparare un tè di sambuco e spezie, utile a potenziare le nostre difese immunitarie e a proteggerci dai terribili raffreddori tipici di questi mesi freddi.
Questo tè è molto semplice da preparare e può essere consumato sia caldo che freddo. Ha un sapore dolce naturale, ma può essere ulteriormente addolcito con una piccola quantità di miele grezzo o stevia, se necessario.
L’aggiunta di spezie come la cannella e la curcuma non solo arricchiscono il sapore di questa bevanda, ma aggiungono ulteriori benefici per la nostra salute. Ovviamente, questa è una ricetta dalla quale si può partire e che può essere modificata in base alle proprie esigenze e gusti personali, l’importante è lasciare come ingrediente principale le bacche di sambuco.
Le bacche di sambuco possono essere raccolte ed essiccate, ma le potete trovare con facilità anche da un bravo erborista. Le bacche sono in genere considerate sicure, ma devono essere adeguatamente essiccate e separate dalle foglie e steli (queste parti della pianta possono causare problemi digestivi) e vanno consumate previa cottura.
Ecco allora la ricetta di un delizioso tè che potenzia il sistema immunitario, fatto di sambuco e spezie.
Gli ingredienti (per due persone) che vi serviranno sono:
- mezzo litro di acqua;
- 2 cucchiai di bacche di sambuco essiccate;
- ¼ di cucchiaino di cannella in polvere;
- ½ cucchiaino di curcuma in polvere;
- 1 cucchiaino di miele grezzo o stevia (se piace).
- Mettete in un pentolino le bacche di sambuco assieme all’acqua.
- Aggiungete le spezie.
- Portate a ebollizione e fate sobbollire per circa 15 minuti.
Questo aiuta a potenziare le proprietà benefiche delle bacche di sambuco. Togliete dal fuoco e lasciate raffreddare per circa 5 minuti. Filtrate con un colino a maglia fine e versate in singole tazze. Se volete, addolcite con del miele grezzo.
Se preferite, potete bere questo tè anche freddo, versando il contenuto in un barattolo e lasciandolo raffreddare.
Ricordate: del sambuco si possono utilizzare sia i frutti che i fiori (dietro precise indicazioni) ma bisogna fare attenzione perché un utilizzo eccessivo di questa pianta può causare dolori addominali, nausea e vomito.

We have already seen in our previous article one of the ways to take advantage of the properties of this plant, through the preparation of a useful syrup.
Today, we will see instead how to prepare a tea of elder and spices, useful to strengthen our immune system and to protect ourselves against the terrible colds typical in these cold months.
This tea is very simple to prepare and can be eaten hot or cold. It has a sweet natural taste , but can be further sweetened with a small amount of raw honey or stevia, if necessary.
The addition of spices such as cinnamon and turmeric not only enrich the taste of this drink, but add additional benefits for our health. Of course, this is a recipe from which you can start and that can be modified to suit your needs and personal tastes, the important is to leave as main ingredient the elderberry.
The elderberry may be collected and dried, but you can find it with ease even by a good herbalist. Berries are generally considered safe, but must be properly dried and separated from the leaves and stems (these parts of the plant can cause digestive problems) and should be consumed after cooking.
Here, then, is the recipe for a delicious tea that enhances the immune system, with elder and spices.
The ingredients (for two people) that you will need are:
- half a liter of water;
- 2 tablespoons of elderberry dried;
- ¼teaspoon of cinnamon powder;
- ½teaspoon of turmeric powder,
- 1 teaspoon of raw honey or stevia (if you like).
- Put in a small saucepan the elderberry together with the water.
- Add the spices.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for about 15 minutes.
This helps to reinforce the beneficial properties of elderberry. Remove from heat and let cool for about 5 minutes. Filter with a colander to fine mesh and pour into individual cups. If you want, sweetened with raw honey.
If you prefer, you can drinking this tea also cold, by pouring the contents in a jar and letting it cool.
Remember: Of the elder you can use both the fruits that the flowers (behind precise indications) but be careful, because an excessive use of this plant can cause abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.
