1. Cosa dice la FODMAP
2. Cosa può fare l’omeopatia
3. Per chi è over 50
4. Cosa mangiare
5. Cosa mettere nel bicchiere
That flat belly could also triumph at Expo perhaps this was not expected. But it happened. It is about an all-Italian study, presented just in Milan, which promises to do wonders against the swelling of the abdomen: a month to see halved proportions.
Just follow the FODMAP, eliminate from the diet foods that ferments and then causes swelling. “The fermentation of food, in certain susceptible people – explains Enrico Stefano Corazziari, UOC Gastroenterology, University of Rome La Sapienza – can cause an accumulation of gas, with a concomitant increased flow of water, causing distension of the intestinal lumen. This , thanks to the unusual characteristic in such persons, causes abdominal distension and pain.
The new scientific knowledge allows us to leave behind the saying “we are what we eat” now passed, to make way for a new concept:
- we are the food we absorb and suffer for what we do not absorb and ferments in the intestinal flora. “Suffering would among other about 12 million people.
To improve the situation (besides its) according to FODMAP you should eliminate at least for a month certain foods: no vegetables, but also no fennel, broccoli, garlic, apples, peaches and cherries. Also avoid cereals (choose the gluten) and dairy products (lactose-free milk are only good and mature cheeses).
In the meantime, here are some remedies that can help limit the hassles of a bulging belly (also for those who are not on a diet).

The diet low in FODMAP was created by Dr. Sue Shepherd, together with Professor Peter Gibson and the Department of Medicine at Monash University in Australia.
